BREAKING THE RULES OF TYPOGRAPHY



The brief for this graphic based piece was to 'break the rules of typography'. We were provided a set of 'typographical commandments' and a brief based around using the lyrics of your favourite song to create a poster, whilst breaking as many 'typographical commandments as possible. The poster had to be hand-written/ drawn and in b&w only however, it could be digitally manipulated, as mine is. Just 'inverted' on paint, due to the fact that I am practically computer illiterate.

a website produced in a collaborative task inspired by the work of sagmeister, based around the ideologies associated with consumerism and how a 'free' object can only be possessed by an individual once the object itself, or something else has been purchased, displaying the fact that 'nothing in life is free' and that the by products of spending are precious, otherwise unobtainable items
